Greenhouse gases

Greenhouse gases are the main cause; the greenhouse gases affect global warming the most. This means that the earth’s temperature would be about 30 degrees celcius lower if it wasn’t for it. The greenhouse gases consist of water vapor which leads to the increasing temperature which is related to the greenhouse effect. When sunlight touches the Earth's surface it absorbs the warmth which causes the Earth to heat up – due to the earth being cooler than the sun, the energy radiated from it is more than the wavelengths radiated from the sun, the longer wavelengths are absorbed by the atmosphere more effectively than the shorter ones radiated from the sun. The atmosphere becomes warmer when it absorbs these wavelengths. Another method that warms the atmosphere is the transfer of 2 sources from the surface. Those are the sensible and latent heat energies. All these facts show us how dangerous greenhouse gases are and show the seriousness of this situation and why we need to deal with it. If this continues our world will never be the same again

Causes of global warming

Global warming as mentioned is a phenomenon which causes huge environmental change. It is a huge issue which must be dealt with since some of the main causes are due to us humans. There are many different causes which enable global warming to take affect, but the main causes are solar activity, volcanic emissions and greenhouse gasses. We all know that when volcanoes erupt they hugely alter the temperature in our atmosphere, as well as all the different gases they unleash which severely damage our environment. Solar activity is the changes of radiation from the sun. As for the main cause, greenhouse gases are components of the greenhouse effect which is the process in which the emission of radiation is caused by the atmosphere.
